Hong Kong take 1

From Hong Kong;
It's a 36 degree day. Hot. These are relaxing me in the apartment, trying to keep cool.

UNKLE - Loney Soul:

Raphael Saadiq - Go to Hell:

Love and peace!

“I am most proud of my integrity and least proud of my cynicism.” Chloe Sevigny

Assessment is over, and I'm en route to Hong Kong for a four day break. Sleep deprivation is catching up, I can't wait for four days of summer.

This classic track never, ever fails to disappoint.

Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo:

Check you later

Steeze:

Procrastination

In the form of Monkey News:

You're killing me, Karl. You're really killing me.

All my love.
Finish tomorrow. Hong Kong on Sunday for a few days for a relax.

Love.

Hudson Mohawke

... BAD MAN!

But seriously, this is a tune! I just wanna hit up KARMA and fist pump and beat up the beat!

A serious tune.

Hudson Mohawke - Thunder Bay

"Absolute bad man. Rude boy."

I wish I was not in the comfort of my own home right now.
Rude.

Liv

"Here are your grade point averages, Mr. Kroger: two Cs, two Ds and an F."

In recognition of the current exam/assignment status that my exciting life has become at the moment, I have compiled a few tracks that I study too... I find studying to music is hard, but when I'm on a roll, or just organising my thoughts, I like some background noise. Mostly an old and previously mentioned favourite Thomas Newman.

Brooks was Here - Thomas Newman:

Anni Rossi - Wheelpusher:

The Books - Smells Like Content:

Efterklang - Caravan:

Morcheeba - Big Calm:

Nightmares on Wax - 195Lbs (such a fresh track!)

This Will Destroy You - Quiet:

...and too not finish with something so intense

The Whitest Boy Alive - Keep a Secret:

And my favourite scholars D-Day, Otter, Boon, Bluto and Hoover:

See you on the other side.

Karl Pilkington

This dude... "Moron."

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's mate Karl is quite literally a moron, but hilarious:

Love!

Monday Mixtape

This is a small collection of songs that I like. Old/new but mostly chilled. It's a Monday, and life should be taken easy on a Monday, and these help set the tone for a relaxed week. I am trying to not wish time away, but I am looking forward to assessment being over. It's not that it's stressing, it's just that it tends to linger in the back of my head. I feel like watching Dazed and Confused but that film comes with serious side effects; none of which are studying.
Anyway; here's some tunes.

Devendra Barnhart - Little Yellow Spider:

Devendra Barnhart with Chan Marshall aka Cat Power at Coachella a few years ago. Rockin' combination.

Neutral Milk Hotel - King of Carrot Flowers pt. 1

Okkervil River - Song of our So Called Friend

of Montreal - Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games
(this is a tune!)

Lux - Northern Lights

David Lee Roth, Beastie Boys and Sean Penn.

Lovingly,
Liv
