A plague on both your houses!

On a rainy day off with a massive headache, I made the decision to watch Baz Luhrmann's greatest accomplishment (and might I add, rather cynically, the only decent film he made besides perhaps Strictly Ballroom)Romeo + Juliet. I really like this version, perhaps it's because it was one of my favourites from my early teens, perhaps because Leo is ridiculous or maybe it is just a sweet film; irrespective of this, the soundtrack is definitely a trip back into my teenage years, and I love it. So many pop-rock classics that made me think I was so cool for listening to them. The soundtrack was released in Australia and in that year it went platinum five times. I remember listening to it a lot, and I'm sure many other Australian's my age would remember doing much the same.
So, in that vein, I'm going to put some tracks up from it. Not in any attempt to be original or to even try to showoff any musical knowledge I might have acquired over the years, but mostly because of nostalgia (a common theme in this blog, might I add). Ohh, and it features Radiohead.

The Wannadies - You and Me:

Radiohead - Exit Music (for a film)

Everclear - Local God

Love Food - The Cardigans

Talk Show Host - Radiohead

Everybody's Free (To Feel Good) - Quindon Tarver

When Doves Cry - Quindon Tarver
